Changes In My Life

What are some things that have happened over the past two years? I realize as I write this, that I am such a boring person! If this was about changes over the past 5 years I could write a list as long as my arm, but this is a post about changes over the past 2 years... as such it is going to be pretty short.

The biggest thing I've done over the past 2 years was complete my Bachelor's of Science in Health care Administration. I know, I'm not currently working in my field. I am currently saving to get a new laptop so I can work in my field... more to follow on that at a later date!

I have turned the dirty 30. Kicking and screaming, but it has happened. If you would like to please me, just say that I'm 22 for the 8th time. Mike says that to appease my despair of getting older.

Along with the getting older is the 'coming into my own' I've gotten to a point in my life where I accept who I am a lot more than I ever have. I recognize that my mindset will probably always be like my 17 year old self. I also realize that I've done some amazing things with my life as well. I truly view myself as a grown up... does that make sense?

I have attacked my knitting hobby with a vengeance. Yikes, that sounds brutal! Well, I've been knitting since I was 8 years old. All I knew then and for years afterwards was the basic knit stitch. I even forgot how to bind off correctly! When I was 20 I borrowed a book from the library that taught me to purl and bind off. I continued on for years with that knowledge. Over the past two years I've become determined to learn some real knitting know-how and I've succeeded in many ways. I know that I still have a long way to go... but I'm pleased at how far I've come.

  1. Well done on the completion of your degree what a fantastic achievement x I have always wanted to knit but I'm not that good x
Following your blog/twitter x look forward to reading your posts x

  2. Thank you for your kind comment. And, I doubt I would have been able to learn to knit if I started trying at the age I am now. I was a young child when my Granny taught me. Although, if you ever want to pump out some knitted awesomeness I highly recommend 'Stitch n Bitch' by Debbie Stoller. I was able to use her instructions to go from simple knit stitch to every other stitch I've picked up.
