http://bloggingforbooks.com. I give my full and honest opinion of it, so no worries, this is all true stuff.
When I first saw the opportunity to review this book I was excited because I've been an avid knitter since I was 8-years-old. However, I figured the title was creative book title hoo-ha. How many of us have been there? We get a book with a mysterious sounding title like 'REIMAGINED' in it and it's just a bunch of crafts for 5-year-olds in it. Well, this is not that book!
Okay I lost the pics I took of the projects I want to start. So, I'll just tell you. There is a bunch of squares turned into shawls and caplets. There are shrugs, vests, little red ridinghood style coat and other funky designs that made me wrinkle my nose at first. But...
Did you see the title is 'Knitting REIMAGINED'? At the start of each pattern there are other ideas given if the pattern is just not quite speaking to you. That's 90's looking sweater with a huge horse head on the side of it. It offers to get rid of that motif... or change up the color blocks. You have the freedom to play with the patterns and make them all uniquely yours.
Another feature I liked about this book is that everything is organized and labeled by skill level and time taken to finish the project.
The only thing I didn't like about this book? I didn't see size options for any given above XL and I fully believe chunky girls deserve stylin options too.
