Book Review: Modern Pioneering

I was so excited to get this book in the mail! I grew up in the country and my Mom's favorite way to cure the "Moooooom... I'm boooooored" cries was to find work for us in the garden or with the animals. I now live in the city. Even though there is much I love about it, I miss 'living off the land' stuff.

This book fills a little of that void for me. Anytime I get a hankering to get my fingers dirty, to save some money, to be healthier overall... there are over 150 projects for me to dig into. I'm especially excited to make homemade lip gloss, rosemary syrup, and beeswax candles. From being witchy, to living like a pioneer this book has me covered. I almost want to start a group to work on some of these projects together!

The projects in these books include full page pictures, detail instructions, and even lets you know about how long it will take you to complete the projects. So, if I have all day, or a few minutes before bed, I know what project to try. Those pea pancakes on the cover look worth giving a try. Mmmmmm

I received this book for free from Blogging for Books for this review. Every work in this review is my own words and have not be doctored in anyway to gain their favor or in hopes of getting more books. I get those anyhow.
