I decided to do a bit of a Meme today. Give you an idea of who I am and stuff. I find these things kind of restraining, so I may think outside the box a little. Bare with me, please. I didn't come up with this list myself if you would like to visit the site I got it from, just click on the picture about and it will take you right there. Now, on to the good stuff!
7 Everyday things I couldn't live without: My laptop, my Nook, my cell phone, my BOS (I through one away once and I will forever regret that decision), my meds (these total up more than 7, but trust me it is for your own good I consider them items I can't live without), my camera ( I get that my cell phone has a built in camera, but sometimes I'm out and run out of batteries on one or the other, so I really need both), my tea pot.
7 Of my favorite songs: I could never pinpoint 7 individual songs that are my favorite, but I can pinpoint 7 favorite musical genres. Classical, Heavy Metal, Folk (old school folk, not this Luminaires or Mumford and Sons... watch me play like I'm Bob Dylan! You will not nor you ever touch Bob Dylan so just give up already!) some Rap ( and I say this cautiously because I'm not a fan of the dirty Rap prevalent to so many. But, I do like Rap that is relevant), Oldies, some country (again I say this cautiously. I like relevant music... and even though honky tonk badonky donk may make millions of people tap their toes it just doesn't mean anything to me), I also like New Age music... not usually songs, but I like it.
7 Adventures I want to have before I die: We would go here. Ha. I would love to go on a good old fashioned road trip. I would also like to live the Nomadic life for awhile. And know, I don't consider them the same thing. A road trip would involve more camping and always knowing you have a home to go home to at the end of the trip. The Nomadic life style would involve an RV (if I'm so lucky) and actually living on the road. I would like to go on a long tubing excursion down one of the many rivers in Missouri... not the bull float trip that happens every year around here with people peeing on each other and vomiting off the edge of their blow up boats. But, a relaxing trip with plenty of actual hydration, sunscreen and maybe some books that I don't mind getting wet. Sweet heaven above! I would also like to spend one whole year foraging for wild food. Does this count as an adventure! It sounds divine! I would like to take a nice long bike ride or go on a good old fashioned hiking trip. What the heck, I'll just say AND here, and we will have two more awesome adventures I would like to take. And finally I want to live the awesome adventure of life. I want to marry Mike, and have a little munchkin with him. I want to grow old with him and live in the love we share with each other until the day we die. Hopefully without pain and with our arms around each other.
7 Pastimes I never tire of doing: I never actually tire of knitting, my fingers sometimes scream at me to stop... but there is pure joy in creating out of something as simple as yarn. And in learning knew skills along the way. I NEVER tire of reading. My Mom taught me to read using the old McGuffey readers. I remember rite quote "the cat and the rat, the rat and the cat" until one day she turned the page and it all clicked for me. I was 4-years-old when that happened and my world opened up. I remember there being much of a staying in my reading level... I just took what I knew and ran with it. Mom says that I read and comprehended the King James Bible when I was 6. I don't remember that part of my life too much. I read just about anything I can get my hands on now, so that is why you see a lot of book reviews on my blog. I never tire of playing the piano. I miss it so much. When I lost my trailer I lost my piano and all my books with it. It was such a painful loss, but I was homeless at the time and there wasn't much I could do about it. My fingers ache to play again. I can never get enough of writing. Sometimes that means blogging, sometimes that means poetry, working on my BOS, short stories... it's okay, I love writing. I'm a bit of a gamer. Not Call of Duty or Halo... I'm a retro gamer mostly. And I like puzzle games, and my nerdy RPG style games too. I also like to sew. I was going to break down the types of sewing I like to do, but that would go well past my 7 limit. I just like to sew. My two favorites are sewing clothes for myself and cross stitch. And for number 7, I like being crafty. I'm not much of an artist, but I love digging up children's crafts on Pinterest and doing them. Then I set them around my house so it looks like I have tons of people that care about me. Hehe.
7 Treats I could eat everyday: After posting this I better start getting these treats sent to me by my readers! Haha. I LOVE ice scream (I'm adding smoothies as part of this), Pizza, Chinese food, pretzels, cookies (if they are super soft), and Reeses! Yummmmmmm!
7 People I would be lost without: Yikes, this list's problem is going to be in FILLING it! I would be lost without my wonderful fiancé for sure. I'm feeling the loss of 3 precious children (loooooooooong story), I'm feeling the loss of my baby sister who followed my footsteps by joining the Air Force. I will actually feel lost without my future Mother in Law... even though she drives me crazy many, many, times and sometimes I feel very uncharitable thoughts about here... she has really been there for me during the past 4 1/2 years. And I actually am lost without my old bestie. we have had some serious blowouts in the past, but we always end up hanging again.
7 Places I want to visit: Ireland, London, Paris, my Canadian friend in Canada, Iceland, Denmark, and Prince Edward Island.
That's it for now my lovelies!
