How To Quit Smoking

This girl quit smoking! I don't have an actual quit day anniversary, but it's been about 4 years

Sure, stuff happens and all I want to do is grab a cigarette out of Mike's hand and and feel it wash over me, but not only would that be throwing good time away... I  literally can't because my lungs can't take it.

I was never a long time smoker or a heavy smoker to begin with. Many doctors laughed when I told them I was a smoker because half a pack a day over a period of 9 years that started with my teens firmly behind me didn't count to them.

But, it counted to me! And it bothered me every time I lit up. Especially when I was around long time heavy smokers, and the rattling coughs shook me with the knowledge that I was heading there if I didn't change my ways.

In fact that's what changed me. I just decided it wasn't worth it. With my last pack behind me I started the vapor cigs. Each month I stepped down more off nicotine until I didn't need it anymore.

My secret, have a reason to stay quit

Three months after I quit smoking I was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis. It's a auto immune disease that attacks lymph nodes. In most cases, mine included, it attacks the lungs. If I were to start it would undo all the hard work, the doctors have done. That's my reason for staying smoke free.
